I'm back in Florida this week after a whirlwind tour of the San Francisco real estate and rental market these past two weeks. Whew! I've decided for the moment to rent a furnished apartment instead of buying or committing to a one-year lease, since I didn't find a place that I wanted. Miraculously, I did find a pretty nontoxic furnished apartment in an old building, with hardwood floors. After I stay there, I'll let you know how it is and where it is, 'cause it's also the best deal in San Francisco if you want to stay more than a week.
