Today I am driving back from Ottawa, Canada, where I gave a seminar on cancer prevention at a conference. So there are no new posts on the Green Living Q&A blog this week (though I will be home in time to catch up with whatever comments and questions you post in the meantime for next week's newsletter). Since I'm writing today's issue in advance, I thought I would show you how to find things you want on my websites. I often get emails asking me questions that have already been answered on the websites somewhere, so I want to make sure you all know what's available and how to find it. Debra :-) HEALTH, HOME & HABITAT #86 ~ 29 May 2007 * FINDING WHAT YOU WANT ON MY WEBSITES
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IF THE LINKS DON'T WORK ON THE NEWSLETTER, OR YOU WANT TO FIND A BACK ISSUE... All the back issues of this newsletter are archived at http://www.dld123.com/newsletter/newsletterupdateback.php. You can always go there and read the current or a back issue. When I send out the newsletter, it goes through a little mailing service that adds tracking codes to the links. Some computers have a problem with this. The links on my website have no tracking codes, so you should be able to open them. There is an index where you can scan the table of contents for each issue (though not all the Q&A titles). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TO SEARCH ON A SPECIFIC SUBJECT...
This big purple "SEARCH" button is at or near the top of the right hand column on every page of all my websites. Just click on it to get to the search page. There you can either "Choose a Subject" from a drop-down menu or enter your own search term in the "Type in a Search Phrase" box. This will give you results from Using this search button is the quickest way to find what you are looking for. Information on a specific subject may be found in many places. If you want to know about cleaning products, for example, the Search will tell you there are product links on Debra's List, questions and answers on the Q&A blog, books on cleaning in Debra's Bookstore, articles on cleaning in the About library, articles about how I clean in At Home With Debra, and specifically which of these newsletters have items about cleaning products. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IF YOU WANT TO ASK A QUESTION... Use the Green Living Q & A blog for a FREE answer from me and my readers. If you've been reading this newsletter, you know what a great resource this is. The down side is that depending on how busy I am and how many questions there are, it can take anywhere from a day to weeks for me to answer. Also, I only answer questions of general interest on the blog. For a faster and more personal answer to your question, you can always call me for a PAID consultation. I'm available Monday through Friday during normal business hours eastern time. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TO FIND A NONTOXIC, NATURAL, OR EARTHWISE PRODUCT... Find out how to prepare naturally sweet foods and use delicious natural sweeteners at Sweet Savvy. When I was researching the new edition of my book Home Safe Home, I found that there are now many more natural sweeteners available than ever before, but not much information on how to use them. So I began researching and experimenting and now have a collection of fabulous husband-tested-and-approved recipes using honey, barley malt syrup, brown rice syrup, stevia, maple syrup, xylitol, evaporated cane juice, and some natural sweeteners you've probably never heard of. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BOOK... Go to MCS Recovery. My interest in household toxics and the environment began over two decades ago when exposure to toxic chemicals in my home led to multiple chemical sensitivities. It was this illness that made me aware that there are toxic chemicals in our homes. Fortunately, I was able to recover. In this section, I've posted my response to my most frequently-asked question: "How did you recover from multiple chemical sensitivities?" along with links to various sections of my websites that serve the needs of those with MCS. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ME...
