Try calling the store you bought it from. Maybe they can tell you about some products.
Maybe had you called the store right after it happened, they might have taken responsibility and had it cleaned for you, especially if the store delivered it. Stores usually assume liability for their own delivery people's damages.
I sew a lot and will only use washable velvet; the surface doesn't change from the water. You might try a dampened, soapy cloth in a hidden corner, just lightly 'brushing' the spot. Then let it dry to see if it changes the texture. If so, it is traditional velvet instead. Most traditional velvets must be dry cleaned. If the soil spots are on cushions, and it's traditional velvet, bargain with your dry cleaner if you can't get info from the store. If they're on the seating or back surfaces, if you find someone who knows how to do it, they'll have to do it in your home.
