Untreated Cotton or Hemp Rags for Cleaning

QUESTION:

Could you direct me to someone who would be able to provide my janitorial services company to untreated cotton or hemp rags/scraps? I couldn't find anything on your site for that--thank you!

DEBRA'S ANSWER:

Type "hemp" into my on-site search engine and contact the companies that come up. They could answer your question. I'm not aware that such a product exists as such, but they may be able to help you locate hemp scraps you could use.

Debra :-)

COMMENTS:

A great source for Hemp Fabrics (wholesale) is EnviroTexiles (www.envirotextile.com). You might try calling to see if they have any 2nds or roll ends that would be good for you! Most of the people who I know that sew with hemp (like me), already use our scraps to make smaller things like baby wipes, menstrual pads, washcloths- so I don't know anyone personally who has scraps big enough for what you need. I found a website a looong time ago that sold scraps of all different fabrics, but I don't remember the address, maybe try searching "hemp rags"? Sorry I don't have a better answer, but I hope this helps a little!
