Pecan Pralines
These bits of sweet pecan taste just like the traditional New Orleans treat, but are not overly sweet.
1 cup shelled pecans 1/4 cup unrefined cane sugar (such as Sucanat or Rapadura) 2 tablespoons heavy cream - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until the pecans are well coated.
- Spread onto a cookie sheet or baking pan, on parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, then stir and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the coating is dry. Check frequently in the last 5 minutes, as nuts can burn quickly.
