Buttercream Frosting
This is a very good buttercream. If you want to add color to this frosting, use natural food colors.
1 part soft butter 4 parts sifted powdered unrefined cane sugar (sold as "organic" powdered sugar) Vanilla extract to taste Milk or cream to desired consistency - Cream butter and sugar together with an electric mixer.
- Beat well on medium speed, scraping down the sides often, until the two ingredients are well-incorporated.
- Add vanilla, then milk or cream a bit at a time until desired consistency.
