Teflon-free Breadmaker

QUESTION:

Debra,

Do you know where I can purchase a teflon-free breadmaker? I have several parrots and I cannot cook with teflon because it could be fatal to my birds.

I have searched but cannot find one. Please help.

DEBRA'S ANSWER:

I don't know. When I bake bread, which is rarely, I use an old loaf pan.

Readers?

Debra :-)

COMMENTS:

I have been searching for a teflon-free breadmaker for a few years now, but have been unsuccessful. I, too, have birds and am not willing to take any chances with teflon.

I will probably just stick with the tried-and-true, knead-it-yourself, loaf pan-in-the-oven method.

I have parrots as well all my pans are stainless steel and I continue to research everything in my home to be sure I don't inadvertantly use something that will hurt my birds.

Right now I'm searching for a teflon-free hair dryer and curling iron... If you have any advice I would certainly appreciate it!

Thank you!
Melanie
