Safe thermos for food

QUESTION:

Does anyone know where I can get a good nontoxic large thermos for carrying hot soup to my office for lunch as an option to using a microwave? I have a stainless steel one at home, but it appears that it is stainless on the outside, but has a plastic interior. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

DEBRA'S ANSWER:

Well, here's one, the Thermos Element 5 Food Jar on the Thermos brand website. Description says it is "unbreakable, precision 18/8 stainless steel interior and exterior". There may be more on this site.

Anyone else have sources?

Debra :-)

COMMENTS:

I hope folks are thinking about this for their coffee to go cups too! I have found Thermos brand stainless steel at Target.

The Container Store has a food thermos that is plastic on the outside and which looks like a stainless steel lining . My child packs his hot lunch in it but the solution I found for my husband was to leave an old toaster oven in his work place so he just need to pack his cold food in a pyrex container. Hope this help. Dalia

COMMENT FROM DEBRA: I didn't find this on The Container Store website, but I've noticed that they often have items in the stores that are not on the website.
